Privacy policy

This page tells you what happens to information when you use the website. We’ve kept it simple on purpose. By carrying on using the site, you accept what’s written here.

What We Receive

You don’t have to register or log in to use anything. There are only two situations where information reaches us.

One is when you write to us. If you send a message through the contact form, we get your name, email address, and whatever you’ve typed. We use it to read your message and to answer it.

The other is automatic. When a page opens, your browser passes on some basic details: your IP address, the kind of phone or computer and browser, roughly which country or region you’re in, the pages you look at, and the page that sent you here. Every website sees this much.

Why That Matters to Us

We use it to work out which styles and pages get used most, to spot things that break on certain phones, and to block spam. We don’t use it to track you across other websites, and we don’t put together profiles of our visitors.

About the Text You Type

The whole point of this site is that you type something and get it back in different letters. Please don’t type anything private into it, such as passwords, ID numbers, bank details, or secrets. There is never a reason to put them in a style generator, and we don’t need them.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. They’re little files your browser stores so the site works properly and remembers simple preferences. If you don’t want them, you can block or clear them in your browser settings. Some things might not work as smoothly afterwards.

Who We Share It With

We don’t sell your information or hand it to anyone else for their own use. The only time we’d pass something on is if the law demanded it, if a valid request came from an authority, or if we had to protect the site or its visitors from harm.

Security

We keep the site’s software up to date and we’re careful about who can read the messages we receive. Even so, nothing online is completely safe, so we can’t promise it.

How Long Messages Stay

We keep a message for as long as we need it to reply, or as long as the law says we must. Then it’s deleted.

Other Websites

Some pages might send you to other sites, for example to a social app’s help page. We don’t control those sites or how they treat your information, so take a quick look at their policies.

Younger Users

Our tool is fun for all ages, but we don’t knowingly collect personal details from children under 13. If a young person has sent us their information through the contact form, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Use the Contact Us page and we’ll deal with it.

Changes

If we change this page, the new version will go here. Using the site after that means you’re fine with the change.
